Reconciliation Sermon Series

A new eight-part sermon series begins September 24 on "Reconciliation" based upon the Book of Philemon. As Christians, we have been given the ministry of reconciliation, therefore, we need to know more about it and how it works in our personal lives, homes, and, of course, in our communities.

There are three stories at work when we come to the subject of reconciling relationships. There is the backstory, the personal story and the group story. Very often people are capable of "fixing" what we will call the second and third stories (personal and group), but, unless we deal with the backstory (our need to be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus) these reconciliation attempts will ultimately fail or be temporary at best.

Let's learn from Paul, Philemon and Onesimus how to be successful in our reconciliations.
