*Groups 1 & 2 of "Living on the Spectrum - An Autism Seminar" subtitled Autism and the Church, will be particularly directed to Pastors, Church Leaders and Educators, offering them help in communicating with and assisting families of those with Autism. 

*Note: Group 1 and 2 sessions will be identical with a slight overlap for the Sensory Workshop and Luncheon. This will allow greater flexibility in your schedule for attendance at this event.

Kevin B. Hull, Ph.D, LMHC will be our main speaker. It is his great joy to help people, particularly children and adolescents, to understand themselves and learn to use their amazing gifts to find their place in the world. Johna Ferry, from our community, will be our secondary speaker. Her kindness and compassion is her hallmark as she endeavors to teach and train her Autistic charges in day to day lifeskills.

11:45am-12:45pm   Groups 1 & 2   Sensory Workshop entitled "In Their Shoes" with Johna Ferry

1pm-1:45pm   Groups 1 & 2   Luncheon

1:45pm-4pm   Group 2   Autism Seminar with Dr. Kevin B. Hull

What is Autism Spectrum Disorder? Including an explanation of Asperger's Syndrome

Autism and the Brain - What are the manifestations of Autism and how does it effect the brain

Strategies for Building Relationship and Effective Parenting - How play and home structure can help the family to deal with Autism

What does it feel like to be Autistic? 

Plus, a healthy amount of time for Q & A at the end of each session.
